Zhelobinsky, Valery

Valery Zhelobinsky(1913-1946), Russian composer and pianist. He studied music firstly at Tambov and then from 1928 to 1932 at the Leningrad Conservatory. He performed across the Soviet Union as a soloist. He returned to Tambov in 1942 and taught at the College of Music. He composed 4 operas, 6 symphonies, 3 piano concertos, and a poem for violin and orchestra.
